We are very excited to announce the first 2 presentations in our

Feminist Therapy Lecture Series.

The spark for this idea definitely came from the Chrysalis reunion this summer, where so many people not only talked about the impact that working at a feminist counseling agency had on their lives and on the work that they do today, but expressed an interest in continuing the conversation and exploration of what feminist therapy means in today's world.

Feminist Therapy in 2010 - In recent years, many feminist therapeutic principles have become more commonplace across various therapeutic approaches.  Given that much of what is now fundamental to "good therapy" practice, such as working collaboratively with clients, originated from feminist therapy, what is unique about a modern feminist approach to therapy?  Against the broader political and sociological backlash against feminism, where is feminist therapy in 2010?
